The best days for Cattle fair are 20, Oct to 27, Oct 2014.
The religious fair dates are 05, Nov to 11, Nov 2014.


                    Bateshwar, an important spiritual and cultural centre of Hindus is located 70 kms away from Agra, the city of Tajmahal. The place is named after the Lord Shiva ( Bateshwar mahadev another name of Lord Shiva ). It has an ancient temple complex which comprises of more than 100 temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The place is also associated to Lord Krishna's mother & Raja Surajsen, Lord Krishna's grandfather. It is also the birthplace for the 22nd Jain Teerthanker  Nemichand and hence an important pilgrimage site for Jain devotees for both sects: Digambar & Shwetambar.

                    Every year in late October to early November a large cattle fair is held at Bateshwar. The fair has large number of Camels, Horses, Oxen, Elephants, Goats, Cookng Utensils, Spices, locally made furniture, handicrafts, cosmetics and much more... ! Similar in style as Pushkar fair of Rajasthan , Bateshwar fair is also one of the largest fairs in Northern India. The fair gives you a glimpse of Authentic , Colourful & Vibrant rural Indian Life.

                    The fair is held every year but the exact dates may vary each year depending on the lunar calendar.
